The lost voice of Art Noir
Art Noir, the electro/ambient project of Jan Weber, is proud to announce the re-release of the first-ever single, originally featured on the "Saille Compilation" in 1996.
This track, created with a mix of Cubase on an Atari and the iconic Wavestation SR synthesizer, captures the spirit of a groundbreaking moment in electronic music production.
Though Jan describes the song as "kind of embarrassing today, but also a bit charming", it represents an important chapter in his journey. The single, a raw expression of early creativity, also features Jan's own voice - an element that holds deep personal significance, as he lost the ability to speak due to ALS seven years ago. This re-release is both a tribute to that voice and a celebration of the enduring power of music.
Fans of both vintage electronic sounds and contemporary listeners are invited to experience this piece of history, as Art Noir continues to inspire through his unique story of resilience and artistic evolution.
"Hinter der Nacht" will be available in all download stores and streaming services from November 1, 2024.
