Post-Punk revival with a message: Killing Kind drops urgent new single

The single Desperately Holding On is about the climate catastrophe we are facing and was written after Killing Kind singer witnessed a fire in a forest in the Northern Swedish wilderness. Helicopters were water-bombing the fire but just some hundereds meters away people had lit a fire for barbecue... We seem to be more attached to our cars, to consumption and to the vacations abroad than to our planet. Earth is dying while humanity desperately holds on to something doomed to die.
Desperately Holding on is a song with strong connections to classic post-punk with obvious nods to the 1980’s. It is driven by Mats Molund’s effective drums, Mats Wigerdal’s sparkling synth arpeggios and a chorus guitar and simple bassline by Björn Norberg.
