HalfcutLemon release third Single “Disturbance” - Out September 5th
HalfcutLemon will release their third single, “Disturbance”, on September 5th, ahead of their new album arriving at the end of September.
The track blends surreal lyricism with layered instrumentation, reflecting on the way technology, subtle social pressures, and even the humble radiator shape modern life.
On the surface, Disturbance is playful and cryptic - a broadcast full of interruptions and curious slogans - but underneath, it turns a watchful eye toward conspiracy culture and our willingness to be guided, seated, and comforted. The message is part caution, part reassurance: someone will take care of you, keep you warm, radiators unite.
The song features atmospheric synths from long-time collaborator Peter Peter, choir and second vocals from Persille Ingerslev, and additional vocals from Flemming. The arrangement moves between mantra-like repetition and bursts of vivid, fragmented imagery, held together by a steady pulse.
Disturbance invites listeners to pause, listen, and maybe even smile at the absurdities of the world — all while keeping the room warm.
