Eckman & Borelius first met in the spring of 2022 at work. They quickly discovered their shared passion for music and decided to collaborate on a Christmas song. This song was recognized as one of the year's best by Sydsvenskan and Barometern in 2022. Enjoying the collaboration, they formed a more permanent duo, primarily featuring piano and vocals with occasional additional elements.
Their debut album "Picking Up The Pieces" and the latest release "You Proved Me Wrong" were recorded in Johan's home studio, with lead vocals recorded in a cold storage room behind Tobias's house. Since their collaboration began with a focus on piano and vocals, their production has expanded to include rich soundscapes and occasional drums, though the piano and vocals remain the central elements of their music.
Johan Eckman, hailing from Värmland, also creates piano music for quiet moments, children's music, and Swedish indie pop under the name Sylvester Wester. Tobias Danielsson Borelius, originally from Nybro and having lived in Kalmar, has sung in Malmö bands Emerald Park and And The Broken.
