And The Broken released new download EP "Black and Blue"

The Swedish Indie band And the Broken (Tobias, Conny and Måns of Emerald Park plus Linus Lindvall and Johan Hellsten) just released their next EP in a series of outputs heading towards the first full-length album.

Black and blue, bruised and battered, ladies and gentlemen - on their latest EP, Sweden's finest – AND THE BROKEN, bring their usual mix of irresistible melodies, soaring guitars and angelic harmonies but this time around with a distinct touch of melancholy and nostalgia.

The opener "Evening sun" started out as a meditation on a guitar riff influenced by Blue Öyster Cult and The Cure. "Say you will" follows, airy, dreamy and with an ambiance that would make Jason Pierce green of envy. Lastly, "My heart's desire", the gorgeous closing track, would have even been a great fit to the classic 1996 debut album oft he fellow Swedes „The Soundtrack Of Our Lives". Timeless and with a chorus that will take your breath away.

The Black and Blue EP was released in streaming format on May 18.
